Installing Tropimed 4.x on Windows® Vista or Windows® 7
 

 

The “PDOXUSRS.NET” error [Fig.1] may be displayed when tropimed4.x has been installed on Windows® Vista or Windows® 7.


This error occurs because Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 are very restrictive and don't allow access to C:\ directory to the non-administrator account. In order to solve this problem, the computer administrator has to change some parameters as described in the procedure below.

Open the PC Control Panel (Start > Control Panel)

If necessary click on “Classic view” on the left-hand side of the screen and open the "BDE Administrator" [Fig. 2]

In the left hand side menu select the “Configuration” Tab and then select "Drivers">“Native” > “Paradox in the tree.

Click on “” or double-click on "C:\" in the line “NET DIR” [Fig. 3]

Select the following directory in the browse menu: “C:\Program Files\Commons Files\Borland Shared\Bde” . [Fig. 4]

Click "OK"

On the "Object" menu click "Apply” then click "OK"  in order to confirm the changes [Fig. 5].

You are ready to use Tropimed with your Windows Vista or Windows® 7.
